Umbrella Instructions
Learn how to set up, take down and maintain your Beach Umbrella.
Beach Umbrella Set up
1. Brush away powdery sand
This will vary from beach to beach, but most beaches have a powdery layer of dry sand that is not stable enough to securely house the sand anchor.
Grab your sand anchor and use it as a little shovel to brush away the powdery sand until you reach the moist, dense, compact sand.
2. Attach sand anchor to umbrella's base pole
Your sand anchor will have a small tightening nozzle towards the top; loosen this, slide the bottom of your beach umbrella all the way into the anchor and tighten the nozzle.
3. Screw umbrella base with sand anchor attached into sand
Once umbrella base pole is securely attached to Sand Anchor, rotate clockwise into the moist, dense sand until it has a tight hold.
4. Brush powdery sand back over sand anchor
Using your foot or hand, brush the powdery sand you displaced earlier back over the now tightly fixated sand anchor.
5. Attach umbrella to anchored bottom pole
Now that your umbrella bottom pole is fixated to your sand anchor and tightly fastened into the moist sand, attach top pole of your umbrella to the bottom half and use the fastening latch to secure them together.
6. Expand the umbrella
Lift the umbrella expanding lever attached to the pole until it locks into place near the top of the pole.
Beach Umbrella Take Down
1. Collapse Umbrella
Inside the top of the umbrella, click the lock out of place and guide the umbrella awning back to it's original hanging position
2. Disconnect upper pole from bottom pole
Release the tightening lever at the mid section and disconnect the upper pole from the bottom pole.
3. Extract bottom pole from the sand
Brush sand off of the sand anchor and remove bottom pole from the ground.
4. Put upper pole into umbrella bag
Take your now collapsed umbrella and put it in the bag first. Insert with top part of umbrella first.
5. Put bottom pole into umbrella bag
Take your bottom pole and slide into the bag, with the screw side entering the bag last.
6. Air dry at home
If your umbrella inherited moisture from the wet ocean breeze, let it air dry at home so mildew does not build up in bag during storage.
